This intergalactic baby is the functional art piece I created for the Unfettered Co. Mystery Box ‘illuminating’ challenge. All of the fibrey goodness is woven around a metal frame, and comes with the chains and S hooks to raise or lower the grassy pasture closer to the UFO.
This weaving can hold a plant if you choose (plant not included!), and comes equipped with the cord kit to make it a lamp or grow light. Just make ABSOLUTELY sure you are using an LED BULB ONLY! Nothing that can HEAT UP! This is VERY IMPORTANT. This weaving is LIT but there is no need to burn your house down about it. It comes with an LED grow-light bulb, but keep this in mind if you swap it out.
If you don’t intend to hang from the ceiling, I can provide a bracket that can be mounted to a shelf or a wall. Just let me know what you need!
Contains: hand-spun/hand-dyed art yarn, metallic shimmer string, merino wool roving and fibres, 100% pure wool fibres, fine felted wool, braided cotton rope, metallic t-shirt yarn, glow in the dark cord, hollow braided recycled cotton yarn, glass beads, a bunch of other miscellaneous fibres, and - of course - an alien.
